The Pearl FTBR1450 14″×5″ Brass Task Specific Free Floating Snare Drum is a full-spectrum, general purpose model that is both bright in punch and warm in tone. Thanks in part to its 1mm brass shell. Just as each player has an individual voice, shell materials -particularly on snare drums- react differently to the drummer's touch depending on type and weight. This is why the latest Free Floating snare additions have been custom-tailored to fit a specific task by model. Individually chosen by size and shell type, each drum features die-cast hoops, is true to the Free Floating concept, and gives the player a unique voice within the tonal spectrum.
Featured on all new Free Floating snare models, the Click Lock Throw-Off is engineered with a nylon grip mechanism that locks into place at the top position, and disengages quickly when released.
